Botulinum toxin injections (BOTOX)
Expression lines, mainly on the upper face, are caused by the mimic contraction of facial muscles.
Botulinum toxin is a medecine that has been used for decades in the medical field, particularly in ophthalmology, for its properties of preventing muscle contraction in the injected areas.
This same property has been adapted in the practice of aesthetic medicine to smooth out the expression lines of the upper face
- forehead,
- inter-brow areas,
- crow’s feet, neck, décolleté)
- neck wrinkles.
The results are generally visible four days after the injection.
For a lasting result, it is recommended to repeat the treatment every five to six months.
BOTULINUM TOXIN CAN ALSO BE USED FOR :
- the treatment of hyperhidrosis (heavy sweating of the armpits, hands and feet).
- the treatment of bruxism: jaw clenching leading to dental occlusion problems and early tooth wear.
